Stumbling around on LinkedIn.com I somehow ended up at Kevin Bacon's profile and noticed he's a 3rd degree contact of mine.
So? Well, there is of course a game called Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Yes, Am 2nd to him, never even thought about it.
What is more interesting is none of my links, on either of Kevin's profiles are who I thought it would be. Note he has a third profile for his music side, I am only a 3rd there. So much for my Music sources, bah.
You see many years ago, I worked for a Broadway Theatre and thought my boss would be the link, but not so.
So the moral of the story, we all know more people than we think.

Keith, I am also a 2nd to Kevin Bacon, surprisingly my Aunt is a direct connection to him, I'm not sure how though... It sure is a small world!

Ha ha! I love the Kevin Bacon game. There were a couple of radio DJ's in NC back in the nineties when I was in the marines who played it with people on-air every week. Hadn't heard anyone doing it in years. Thanks for the memories, Jake.

I'm pretty sure I'm a second degree connection via family. My family tree branches out to include Mary Tyler Moore in one direction and Charlton Heston in the other (both actors for those who may not recognize the names - under a rock?). On up my mom's family tree and one branch removed is General Norman Schwarzkopf, he'd be a 2nd cousin or something like it. The people that puts me technically in the 2nd degree of is alarming to me.
And now I want a bacon sandwich.
