Google Is Watching Me

Because of the Googling I've been of late relating to the building of a playhouse I've noticed a lot of targeted ads. Here's an example of a website I visited which had two related ads on it.

The shedstore lady has been staring at me from just about every Google-ad-using site I've visited over the last couple of weeks. Quite an apt image when you think about it. I am literally being watched. It's scary but impressive at the same.

The playhouse is finished by the way and I'll post an updated on it later on...

  1. I hate ads like that wherein the images have nothing to do with the subject matter. More importantly, though -- did you ever go to the site? :p

And the HTC Hero is _too_ going to get the Froyo update.

That's the weird thing. I'd been looking at felt roofing on the Wickes site (see top-most ad) and also had visited Shed Store, although I'm sure it wasn't via an ad. Whether they're both coincidental I don't know.

Looks like someone's using the Google Ad Words remarketing feature - http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=170449

Interesting. Looks a lot like it might be that. Must be costing Shed Store quite a bit to annoy me to this level. I've found her starting at me a handful of times today too.
