Another HTTP Header plugin for IE

Last September I linked to an Internet Explorer sniffer tool called HTTPWatch. Packet Sniffers are great tools that I recommend all web developers add to their toolbox, but this one isn't exactly cheap. Well, there's a similar tool that's free. It's very basic but it lots of cases this might be all you need in order to fix a problem.

This link is via fullasagoog.com, which I recommend you add to your news reader app, if you've got one. There are a lot of updates each day, but it's worth sifting through to find the goods. In fact, if you download the trial of FeedDemon you get this feed and more already listed for you in the "Web Authoring" category.

    I know this is off topic, but I was hoping to convince you to add descriptions to your RSS feed. I've been using the new portlet at my.yahoo.com to consolidate my reading and your blogs only show the title.

    There are reasons I don't add descriptions, that I won't go in to. Not going to add them for now. Sorry. You'll just have to pay me a visit every day ;o)

    Check out

    The first tool will sniff http requests from any machine on the same hub as your machine. Great for seeing what you work colleague are looking at!

  1. Why don't you try Mozilla Firebird?

    {Link}

    Live HTTP Headers

    DOM inspector

    JavaScript Debugger

    Ability to highlight a selection on a web page and right-click to view source for just that part of the HTML for the page

    ETC.

  2. Firebird has some extentions which I'm increasingly finding invaluable while creating web applications. Like being able to view live http headers, or turn stylesheets on/off, validate pages with a single click and best of all - the javascript console

  3. The link should be changed to: {Link}
