Howo to impress the lady in your life
With regard to it being Karen's birthday tomorrow I think I am off the hook. Thanks for all the advice guys. I've tried to avoid all the clichés though and have gone for something a little different. Different in that I'm not going to wrap any of it. Instead it's all going in the bag you can see. My idea was to buy the bag and then fill it with little goodies. In a way they are wrapped I suppose. Anyway, Karen loves handbags as I'm sure all women do. It's the last thing she really needs but the one thing I know she'll definitely like. Add to this the fact that I've filled it with lots of other nice things and I think I've got myself a winner. Feel free to mimic.

Hi!
Good luck, Jake! ;-)
How on earth did you determine that she likes that particular variety of makeup? That's like her picking out the particular QMR to be applied to your server... Dangerous territory man. Tread carefully.
John, there was no guess-work involved. It was all done by means of investigative research and prying into makeup bags and observing behaviour etc etc.
Trust me, she like it.
Happy bday Karen!
Excellent work, matey. You make us all very proud.
Give'r a good kiss from the lot of us.
:-P
hehe
Wow ... that is one big LOT of stuff .. Hmmm .. nice ideas ... heheheee .. :P
Enjoy seeing her beautiful smile! :D
How did you make sure that she wouldn't see the pictures before the big day?!
Little book of Kama Sutra eh? Maybe it won't just be her that's happy this weekend..... ;-)
Hi Jake, good taste in the bag !, congratulations to Karen and you.
assume she doesn't need a lot of makeup given the recent pictures you showed me ;-0 on 3 mil pixels...
Well, you absolutley NAILED it with the first item (DKNY perfume), because - at the risk of making a horrendous generalisation - girls dig brand names. I reckon you could give a girl some Gucci disposable coffee cups, or perhaps some Calvin Klein vaccuum bags and they would be excited.
I have to agree with John G. about the makeup though - really only one step away from getting her preferred brand of acne treatment. But I guess you've done the research, so it should be okay.
Way to go, Jake. I must say that you are making a big mistake in not wrapping the gifts.
The suspense and excitement of unwrapping all of them is half the fun for my wife. Plus, it makes the event last longer.
Personally I think you’re suicidal for not wrapping them up. Women love wrapped present, it allows them to use their magic powers of prying what it is out of you.
I've tried the same thing before, not wrapped and put in a bag. I did however use a Tesco plastic bag - which could possibly have been my downfall!
Wrap! wrap! wrap!
right pressies but no wrapping shows thought but little effort, dont fall at the last hurdle Jake!
Fantastic, Jake! And a very Happy Birthday to Karen! :-)
Brand names mean nothing, at least to me. Let me put it this way. One of the best things my hubbie ever gave me was when he came home one day with a pint of Ben and Jerry's "Everything But The..." ice cream.
It wasn't just that he got me ice cream (which is ALWAYS nice, LOL), but because he remembered that one time I told him it was my favorite flavor.
You've got it all wrong! DUH! The whole point is to give her something YOU want, like a nice bowling ball with your name engraved on it. That way, if she doesn't want to use it for some reason....
THINK, man!
kama sutra...should also include a book on stretching....if you want to conquer the latter chapters...
;-?
HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So i just wanted to say good luck!!!!!!!
