Progess In New Office
It has been over a month since I posted a picture of the office I am working on in Karen's house. About time for an update. Well, it's coming on pretty well. As of today I had all but finished the laminate flooring. Tomorrow I expect to at least be able to move all my stuff in to the room. All I need then is a desk and a chair and I can stop needing to visit horrible places and start visiting the websites I've been neglecting for so long.
It might look like I've been watching a bit too much TV but I do actually know what I am doing. Being brought up with a spirit level in one hand and a plumb-bob in the other has its benefits. Thanks Dad! I know you wouldn't approve of such flooring techniques but I have to say I am impressed. I think Karen is too ;o)
Very nice, but I think you were a bit slack laying the last four planks! If you're any good at plumbing, I believe that's the new way to earn bucks.
Derek, what I was doing there was making sure I had enough planks. Turned out there was 1 left ;o)
I know what you mean about manual jobs. Most of my friends at home do such work and have never had to think about being out of work. One friend is a ceramic tiler and is booked up for just about the whole year. I have a theory why that I might talk about in a blog later...
Pop over - our bathroom is in need of some serious attention ;-)
Looking good - be sure and post a picture of how you manage to squeeze all your stuff in there!
Brendon - believe it or not I do plan on coming out there some time this year. All being well.
Colin - squaeze really is the right word.
Would that be Derek Atkinson the Tranmere Rovers fan?
'Fraid so, Paul, but didn't want to upset Jake, with his Mansfield background. Is this becoming "SadCodersReunited.com"?
Jake, Are you going to post a picture (or preferably a video) of you and Karen christening the office when it's finished? ;-)
