The Beginning Of An Office

To give you an idea how long it might be before the site returns to any kind of normality, here's a picture of the room in Karen's house that is to become my "office". Until I get moved in here my life is a little up in the air. R&R being my biggest concern of the moment.

The Office

As you can see it's only half stripped of wallpaper and the carpet has gone. I've yet to lay the laminate flooring, add some new sockets (mains and networking), decorate and then furnish. I'll keep you posted of any progress.

    Jake

Is that an Action Man with no arms lying on the floor in the middle of the room ?

  1. Nice view - bit like Domino views

  2. Jake,

If you get tired of using the chemical stripper I'm guessing is in that pump, you can rent steamers from some places, or close the room up with a humidifer for a few hours... the wall paper will slide right off!

Just be sure not to pull the door to, if it's wood you may find the room becomes sealed with increased humidity... and despite your dedication, I doubt you want to be sealed in a nook! ;-)

  3. Jake you think you have problems - my new office hasn't even got a roof yet!!

have fun building your office - hope your move up north has gone well - its not a lot of fun is it moving everything so far
