First Taste of Ice Hockey

Met up with some old buddies from HSBC (Matt, Will, Adrian, Jaz et al) last night and had my first experience of Ice Hockey, watching the London Knights play the Bracknell Bees. Here's a photo of me (top left corner) taking a photo of me taking a photo of me taking.... The guy in the middle of the screen is entering the dance-for-ya-dinner competion which he won.

Me at the London Knights

It was a bit of a strange event what with all the commercials, snips of music and fighting. Hardly any time left to watch the actual game. Think I'll stick to watching football.

Talking of football, my home team are playing Team Bath tomorrow in their historic FA Cup game. It's on Sky Sports at midday so most of tomorrow will no doubt be be spent in the pub.

Talking of pubs, when does being a web developer become bad for your health? When your friends own a pub and ask you to design them a website. Despite me insisting I'd do it for free they've given me four free tickets to tomorrow night's Stone Roses tribute and a £100 bar-tab. It's going to be a long weekend...

Jake, don't mean to be picky but hockey is a Canadian invention, and we're still the best at it, especially when we beat the Yanks.

I like the graphic on the lark in the park page. Did you do that? What did you use to create it?

  1. Pretty cool looking site matey! The graphic at the top is well done without being over the top realistic - I like it a lot! did you do that yourself?

Mani joined Primal Scream, Ian Brown went solo, John Squire has just released a solo effort, and I don't know who the other one was... ;-)

How come Bottsie knows how to quote within a comment and I don't?

    That's annoying!

I look cocky? I take it you mean I like hockey.

It was my first (and probably last) hockey experience. Hey, you have to try everything. Football I like enough to watch but I'm no fanatical Statto.
