I wanted this blog to be a little more upbeat. That was until I tried to install Lotus Smartsuite 9.6! Why does nothing Lotus do ever work properly.

First thing I did was install on a Windows 98 machine. When I tried to launch Approach it stated that I didn't have enough memory. This is on a machine with 8 times the minimum amount of RAM they recommend.

Not to be beaten I switch to my Windows 2000 pc with 394MB of RAM. I'd heard that SmartSuite didn't work on Win2000 but the documentation said it runs with 64MB. So I install it only to be told that "approach.exe is not a valid Win32 file".

I give up. Looks like I won't get that bit of work after all..
