Problem with Generate HTML for all Fields

I commonly check off this property on my Forms and when I incorporated
Validator R2.0, the calendar picker would not put the picked date into the date
field of my form. If I unchecked the property, then the picker worked fine.
However, I have had such good luck with keeping this property checked that I
hate to uncheck it and suffer unintended consequences. Any idea what is
happening and how I can use the Validator 2.0 with that property checked?
